How Essential Oils Entered Into Jon’s Life

For those of you that do not know my story and why DoTerra essential oils over any other brand, you will need to read this page to get a better understanding of why I chose DoTerra Essential Oils.

My story began with me entering into a period of my life that was filled with grief and despair.

At the time, My wife was struggling with her health and trying to get the tumors to shrink.

My cousin was battling for her health as well and was done with the status quo that was presented to her each time she would visit the doctor’s office. That is pretty much a huge portion of the population (but getting smaller and smaller, thankfully!) 🙂

I’m at the point now that I would try ANYTHING!

My life was about to change forever

So, as I prepared for what was to come, my cousin asked me to try some oils that she thought would help my state of mind during and after the mourning/grief period. The exact oils she gave to me was Wild Orange and Lemon, with instructions to put in a water bottle and sip on it throughout the day.

I was a skeptic for sure thinking “what kind of snake oil is this?”, but I was open and willing to try anything that would help me out. I thought that at least I could start drinking really good flavored water and tea. If it did anything else that would be a bonus. Little did I know it would improve my mental and emotional state. So I had to ask myself, “Why Doterra essential oils?”

The thoughts of “this will never work” and “why are you using oils? Those are for those weird people” came to mind several times, over and over, before I actually gave this a REAL shot.

Jumping Forward A Few Years

I had tried the method that she gave me using essential oils and the essential oils flat out worked. This wasn’t a matter of them working for just a select group of people – they just worked and they could be used in all areas of life too! There are several studies that show that aromatherapy has a big effect on how we think, our emotions, and how we do life. If you have never heard of essential oils and are looking for a different way to keep your family healthy, you have come to a great place. It’s one way that I call an ancient method of staying healthy. There is great validity to using oils to improve your quality of life.

Today, I’m using DoTerra essential oils to be proactive with anything and if and when a symptom hits me, I know that I can fight it off much faster than any over the counter medication or prescription.

Jessica’s Story

My husband introduced me to essential oils. Before I met him, I didn’t know they existed. I was bit skeptical at first. Could they really be all that? As I heard more about them from him and others and saw him using the oils for lots of different things, I started to reform my opinion of them. I found out how powerful they are. I am a teacher so my body is constantly battling germs. Oregano quickly became my best friend for immune defense. During allergy season, I use a blend of oils with fractionated coconut oil in a rollerball vial to help me be the best I can be all day long.

Periodically, my husband will put a couple of drops of soothing oils like lavender on our pillows to help us relax after a busy day. My husband and I diffuse oils in the house for various aromatherapy benefits. Periodically, we will take some oils internally for various health benefits. There are so many ways to use the essential oils to such as products like hand soap and toothpaste infused with oils for their germ-fighting capabilities and facial cleanser with essential oils for its benefits for the skin.

Essential oils have become an everyday part of my life, and I feel much better because of them. I feel that I put fewer chemicals in and on my body, and that gives me greater peace of mind.
