To control ants you need a mixture of peppermint, patchouli and tea tree oils. Once you have combined these essential oils. Use a cotton ball and dip it into the mixture and then place several of them in the affected areas of your home. The scent of these oils is quite good at keeping ants from coming in. You’ll need to replace the cotton balls after about five to seven days.
Mosquitoes
To deal with these nasty pests, combine peppermint, TerraShield (DoTerra Mixture) and lemongrass oil. You can combine them into a spray bottle and use it as an air freshener, or if you have something such as an aromatherapy burner, you can use that. Since essential oils are natural and safe, you can apply it to your skin. If you do use it on your skin when you go outside. Make sure to combine the mixture with a carrier oil such as Rosehip oil or Fractionated Coconut oil.
Fleas
If you’re dealing with fleas on your pet or pets. Make a braided cotton collar and dip it in an essential oil mixture to get rid of the fleas.
You’ll want to use a mixture of lavender (about two drops), and one drop of thyme, oregano, and TerraShield. You’ll have to mix these ingredients with about a tablespoon of grain alcohol. Now, dip the collar into it to make sure the collar has absorbed the mixture. Let your pet wear the collar and if need be, re-treat the collar with the oil mixture about once a month.
